Concern for your safety extends to business travel. In keeping with our ongoing commitment to provide you with a safe work environment away from the office, please take the time to review the following travel safety tips. General Travel Safety Tips
- Trust your instincts. If you sense that something is wrong, be cautious and alert.
- Report any suspicious occurrences or encounters to your host organization, corporate security or local police.
- If you are driving on business, do not pick up hitch hikers or befriend strangers in restaurants, bars and other locations.
- Never accept a package from a stranger, or agree to deliver an item to a third party.
- Keep some money in an outside pocket to avoid fumbling through your purse or wallet for tips and other expenses. Consider wearing a money belt.
- Drink responsibly while traveling on business.
- Refrain from displaying large amounts of cash or jewellery.
