As a manager/supervisor, DO YOU...

1. Have an operational understanding of your organization's policies and procedures relating to  Workplace Violence and Harassment? 
Know how to respond to potential threats and escalating situations?
Take the time at every opportunity to promote a respectful workplace  through, "safety talks", "Lunch n' Learns" , or any other forum in your organization where such matters can be discussed?
Take the time to instruct current employees about workplace violence prevention policies, procedures and protocols?
Educate  employees know specific procedures for dealing with workplace threats and emergencies, and how to contact police, fire, and other safety and security officials.
Ensure that employees with special needs are aware of emergency evacuation procedures and have assistance (as necessary) regarding emergency evacuation situations.
Orient all new employees to your organizations violence prevention policies and procedures?
Encourage employees to report acts of violence and harassment, with the assurance that their complaints will be dealt with promptly and fairly?
Have a process for documenting and reporting all complaints of workplace violence and harassment?
Take all threats seriously?
